Hi Anna! I am a dental hygienist. The hour rate for dental hygiene is between $35 to $45 US dollars. Or 40% of the production you did during each day. For dental assistant I am not sure, but is around $20-25 dollars per hour.

Im a Dental Hygienist and I love what I do, but it’s important to hear the bad side of it too. This career is great if you are working in a big city with more opportunities. I live in a small town and I am having a hard time finding a job at the moment. Pursue this if it’s what you love to do, but I’d you’re young and love teeth, shoot for the moon. I would’ve gone to dental school if I had that choice early on.
Look into dental schools.

Hello Joleena! Dental hygienists are in great demand in the current job market. The COVID-19 pandemic led many who were nearing retirement to retire early, and part-time workers also halted their work. This has resulted in a significant surge in both the compensation and need for hygienists. In my locality, for instance, the hourly temping rate shot up by $25 and has remained steady for more than three years now. The market shows no signs of slowing down in the foreseeable future. Best of luck!
