Gillian’s Answer

Even though I haven't tried other career guidance platforms, I must say, I'm quite fond of CareerVillage. It's user-friendly, straightforward, and easy to get around. The notifications and emails they send are mostly spot-on and useful. I love how it encourages thought-provoking questions and provides insightful answers. The simplicity of its design and functionality is something I really appreciate. What's more, CareerVillage collaborates directly with industry, making the process of answering queries smoother and integrating it into a company's culture of giving back.
I also like the new GenAI feature to help shape our answers.

Gina’s Answer

Hello Justin!
My name is Gina Roca and I'm an Architecture graduate student at the University of Florida. I completely understand your inquiry and here are some of my suggestions and likes about Career Village:

1. For me Career Village is a great platform to search for key topics that interest you or that relate to your field or major since not a lot of forums have the filtering this platform has.

2. Even though there are filters available it can be difficult to navigate through the amount of new ideas and posts that come about in the village and see one that relates to a topic you may like.

3. There can be a lot of good things when people reply to you for the questions you post since some individuals do look over them so that is helpful sometimes since there can be a substantial influx of responses to the things you bring forward.

4. Even though there can be replies, some replies are just additional questions to your question or simply not matching what you ask, and sometimes it can be difficult to get a clear answer.

5. Lastly it can be difficult to determine what the person is asking at times since sometimes people have one to two-word questions that don't make sense or the syntax of their questions is completely misspelled or unable to be understood.

Hope these suggestions bring clarity to the topic!

Best regards,
Gina Roca
