Monserrat’s Answer

I harbor a deep-seated passion for environmental conservation, dedicating my full-time efforts to an Environmental Consulting firm. Since my early childhood, I've nurtured a dream to contribute significantly to the environmental sector, particularly in my hometown of Houston, where I was born and raised. I've always held a deep respect for our role in this world and our responsibility to protect it.

My love for the outdoors has always been a significant part of my life, prompting me to consciously minimize my impact on the environment. In pursuit of my passion, I sought out a robust Environmental Science program for my undergraduate studies. I strived to excel in my academic pursuits, securing an internship that would pave the way for my future career. Upon graduation, I landed an entry-level job, marking the beginning of my journey in making a difference in the environmental industry.

Monserrat recommends the following next steps:

Take some challenging Biology or Animal Science courses in high school
Look for colleges that have zoology or environmental science department
Volunteer at the local zoo, animal shelter, or arboretum/sanctuary
Get an internship in high school or in college
