Hello,
Please, note the following, concerning how to get experience in the field, for example, business :-
1. The extent of your general
interest and knowledge in the
type of business.
2. Work diligently.
3. Cordial relationship with your
customers, or anyone you
work with.
4. Working continuously, at least,
after six (6) months, you could gain
enough experience to continue
carrying out your normal duties.

Best regards.

Charlize,

That is a very good question! I would recommend to reach out and look for internship programs. When I was in college, I had the opportunity to intern for a science museum in their Human Resources department, and I can honestly say that it helped tremendously when trying to look for a future career after college. Among that, you grow and make more connections when you have previous expertise in the certain area that you're studying. The more connections, the better when it comes to finding a future job or career!

As well, if you do not want to gain an internship, I would recommend to reach out to previous professors that you had and see if you are able to shadow them based on the certain major or area that you enjoy. That way, that's another connection and recommendation that you've obtained for, as well as expertise from a professor's standpoint on the real world outside of school.

I hope this helped, and thank you!
