Hi Victor,
I wouldn't worry too much about finding a college that specializes in accounting, but of course QS University rankings by subject are your friend in this regard. I would focus on going somewhere with a good brand, this will help most with graduate employment.
I agree with Omar that you should probably consider studying maths/economics/business degree. Many colleges will offer accounting classes and those will put you in good stead.
Hope this helped!

Hello Irwin, you've already received some valuable insights from Omar and Joshua. To build on their advice, remember that nearly any four-year institution offering a business major can equip you with the necessary skills to become an accountant. However, the key to a thriving career in accounting isn't just about where you earn your degree, but more about securing the right job post-graduation.
Sure, prestigious universities might provide better chances of being scouted by top-tier accounting and auditing firms, but they often come with a hefty price tag. Therefore, I'd suggest considering a part-time job in bookkeeping or a similar field while you're still in college. This will not only enhance your practical skills but also boost your prospects of landing an excellent accounting job upon graduation. Keep going, Irwin. Your future in accounting looks promising!
Do well in high school so you can get into a good college and get financial aid
Work part-time while in college - preferably in a job that uses accounting or at least uses accounting software
Start networking through channels such as LinkedIn sooner rather than later. Preferably by college sophomore year
Get an internship at a company where you would like to work after you graduate from college. Interns often get a full-time job offer at end of internship that would start after you gradute
Get lots of practice interviewing for jobs
