How can I make a good profit by doing something in the english category, that isn’t teaching?
How can I make a good profit by doing something in the english, book region of things. I am in 10th grade, and I have heard from teachers that becoming an author is not a good idea, (What I was wanting to do) because you won’t make enough money to live unless you books hits bestsellers. So is there anything I could do in the realm of english, (that isn’t teaching!) that could give me a good profit and stay in the parts of things I would like to do.

Technical Writing is one. But you might need an advanced degree or a certification, from a college, to get the training and credentials you need.
Engineering and business firms need good writers. Firms that also write grant applications, need good writers.
Computer software companies also need good technical writers.
Online companies also need good writers to design and write websites for their customers.
These are a few suggestions and options.

I think there are a few options, at least off the top of my head:
Have you thought about pursuing a career as a librarian? If you love books, it might be something that may excite you. I believe the job itself requires organizational skills, people skills, and researching abilities; perhaps it's something you'd enjoy lots given your love of books?
Have you thought about pursuing a career as a technical writer? It's much different than writing books in some ways, but in others, it can be similar. What a technical writer does varies by the specific position and company they work for, but they can be responsible for writing technical documentation and creating knowledge base articles—both of which can require lots of sleuthing, as many technical people that you'll work with won't give you all the answers (either because they don't know the use cases as much as you do or because they're too busy working on the next release).
Have you thought about working as an editor? Being a great editor is about being meticulous about the english language, but also, how to have a great relationship with the author(s) that you work with. And who knows, by working with authors, you'll be able to write a book in your own time with greater success.
I'm sure there are more jobs available, but those are some that I think you can consider. I'm definitely not experience in any of those fields, but I hope this was a good starting point for you to find more information. I hope this helped!
