Hi, Jabrion,
You face the same challenge as other students, in that your career must be something that provides value to others. To do that will require an effort on your part to evaluate what interests you that could be applied to bring value. You state that your main interest is in playing video games. My reaction is that it will help you to explore other activities also. In doing that, you may discover that some of what you enjoy in playing games can be applied in other areas. Finding that proper mix of interests and talents is a challenge to all students, and I respect your concern for ADHD's impact on your choices. I wish you well in your pursuits and admire that you are wanting to define a path forward for your life. All the best to you.

Kodi’s Answer

Hi Jabrion, I also love video games and I also love to learn how they were created. Playing and creating are vastly different experiences and both have their respective challenges. I do not have ADHD myself but I have met some software engineers that do. I also know there is some helpful information online about others with ADHD finding success in the tech industry. If you love video games and someday would like to create your own, I would look into that as a possible career. Degrees in software engineering, computer science, graphic design or multimedia design are a few degrees you could look into for such a career.
