The meaning of “a good college” varies for different students. Instead, you should look for colleges that best fit your academic, geographical, cultural, and financial needs. I would assume what you mean by “a good college” is a selective/highly selective college.
Typically, high scores in SAT/ACT, a good high-school transcript, and extracurricular involvement would be helpful in securing admission in a selective/highly selective college.
