Search the internet for a place you'd like to work, and go to the Careers page. Peruse the jobs and look at the requirements. You can also look at the websaite for the FLorida Board of Health or something similar. They should have a list of requirements for each certificaiton.

Pediatric nursing is a great specialty if you love kids! You get to work with children from newborns all the way to adolescents. After high school you will want to obtain your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) if you’re looking to be a registered nurse. I would recommend getting your BSN compared to an Associates Degree in Nursing because most hospitals will only take ADNs if they promise to go back to school to get their Bachelors. After graduating nursing school you will definitely want to get BLS certified, PALS certified, or even getting your PEARS certification won’t hurt. But they will definitely want you BLS certified and PALS certified.
