Create a Wix website to showcase your portfolio of writing samples. Upload PDFs of articles, papers from professors and include any hyperlinks to your published works. Make the site personable so any prospective employers will see you are a standout as an intern really dedicated to the written word.

I would think writing samples are important, as well as familiarity with the publications. For example, if you'd like to seek an internship at a fashion magazine, you need to follow Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, etc. If you'd like to write long-form magazine articles, follow the Atlantic, etc. Good luck!

Contact the companies offering the internships and ask them. They'll be happy to help guide you. After all, they want interns!

Absolutely! Your resume should showcase all your creative endeavors. This could be anything from contributing to your school newspaper, managing social media, or even designing a church bulletin. Don't forget to highlight any creative writing courses you've taken. If your teachers had positive feedback, feel free to include that too. Remember, the type of resume you create can be a platform for these accomplishments. Best of luck, you've got this!

Start creating writing samples, take a look at the industry standards, and determine what kind of publication you want to work for. Apart from that, just start writing and build up your experience.
