You can motivate an idiot, but all you will end up with is a motivated idiot.
Remember this phrase well!
You want to prepare for your future? You want a business of your own? So take these two statements and paint the completed picture in your mind (imagination). What does that look like? Is it successful? Can you see yourself in that picture at that time in your life when you expect it all to happen. Can you you see it? If so, congrats! You have a goal! Now take that imagined image of your accomplished goal (eyes closed please) and feel how proud you are, see yourself standing in a pose of accomplishment looking back in time at all you had to accomplish, along with all the hardships you had to bear to make it to the next step. Remember that you would have to fight for it all. Realize that you may get knocked down but you will get right back up to fight to that end result of success. Only you know what business you want to be in, but the fight is the same for everybody. Once you open your eyes, you must now lay the foundation and get to work! God’s Speed To You!

Maintaining motivation can be a challenging task for anyone, and it can sometimes morph into stress and anxiety instead of being inspiring and developmental. It's tough to generalize, as motivation can take on various forms depending on what you're specifically aiming for. Let me share what keeps me going, and hopefully, it can help you discover your own drive.
I've noticed a significant underrepresentation of black art, animation, and filmmaking in the art community. Since I don't see the representation I desire, I've decided to become the resource I've always yearned for. My family is another powerful motivator. I aspire to provide for them, aiming to alleviate the load my mother carries in supporting my siblings and herself.
Every day, I strive to outdo myself, be it artistically or athletically, by pushing harder or creating something superior to what I did before. I'm aware of my ultimate aims. If there are moments when you struggle to stay motivated for yourself, it's crucial to consider who else you're striving for. In my case, it's my family and future generations.
Athletically, I recall the excitement I felt watching others perform in the Olympics, and I yearned to do the same. Even during grueling track practices, when I feel like giving up, I remind myself that every practice, every strenuous moment, propels me closer to my overarching goal of inspiring others to take their next step in their journey.
Feel free to reach out if you need more clarity on what I'm saying or if you want a deeper explanation. I can definitely elaborate more, but I'm aware it's quite a bit to read.
If you cannot find it in yourself to be better for you, find something external to support or want to be better for.

To stay motivated, find joy in the small things. Each day whether it’s school or work can feel like a drag but if you find enjoyment in the small daily things it makes your days better. Examples getting a cup of coffee, morning sunrise, afternoon breeze, etc. Enjoy each day!

The path to success might have some twists and turns, but with the right mindset and support, you can achieve the impossible!
With that being said, my biggest advice is to take risks, venture out as much as possible, allow yourself to be creative despite any backlash, and always remember to smile. Planning for the future is tedious, but it is also fun! As an individual who has worked in many fields, not sure what I wanted to do from the get-go, I ventured out and created experiences, and started to let my ideas fly. I currently work full time and go to school full time, and honestly never thought that would be a part of my plan, but I hope one day to inspire others to be as dedicated as possible.
Let your creative vision fly, and dream big. It is also a good idea to take on mentors in the field you are interested in, even though learning could be a hassle, this will open so many doors to many different opportunities while also allowing you to see the business world through such a broader lens. Also like most mentors will say, allow yourself to fail, this sounds crazy at face value, but in doing so you will allow yourself to grow and start embracing problem-solving skills. Also take advantage of the networking opportunities that are available nowadays (LinkedIn, Meetup, Eventbrite, etc.) allowing you to meet like-minded individuals and hopefully make a couple of friends.
You have your whole life ahead of you, so it's okay not to get everything situated at this very moment. Celebrate the small moments no matter how little, a milestone is a milestone, so allow yourself to be happy and free! The journey to becoming an entrepreneur is admirable, I know you will do great things. You have many mentors to help you along the way, so please feel free to reach out if ever you want to discuss your ideas or need assistance! I wish you the very best.
Stay curious. Curiosity fuels innovation, and its the key to staying ahead!
