It is terrific you are mindful of your future career prospects. Mr. Harding shared excellent, well-defined advice. Please review the information he communicated carefully, taking each category simultaneously. The recommended start is to research and learn. It is easy to go in the wrong direction in those areas and waste time searching for information.
For example, sites appear to be informative but, at the same time, selling services. In your case, these may be vendors offering education programs promising to teach you everything necessary to start a career in marketing. Sounds exciting. Professionals beyond their student years are updating and re-educating in most industries. The best schools likely involve their students expanding their education outside the classroom, surpassing the textbook and professor's instruction. It was true of me. And it still is; I continue to learn.
Mr. Harding's recommendation is aiding you to get started while in high school. Researching is a crucial ability to access early and use resourcefully. One area to aim for is to learn from those working in the field. You may contact an expert, profess your interest, and ask thoughtful questions. They may feel honored to give their time and counsel to you. I hope to hear how you are faring; thank you for your inquiry and good fortune.
