There are a lot of great resources out on the web to help you with powerpoint, I would encourage you to watch youtube videos that provide tutorials for different features within powerpoint. Here are a few links that I have found useful:

Hi Alesaya. One of the most beneficial practices I've incorporated when doing a project is after I finish, I ask 1 or 2 of my friends look over it. They will often find spelling or grammar mistakes I didn't realize were there! They also have given advice on the structure and layout of the presentation as well.
