The National Dance Education Organization (ndeo.org) offers an online course (OPDI-111) in 2 parts regarding the history of dance.

Rutgers University offers several courses (online as well) in Dance History such as Dance Appreciation, History of Broadway Dance, Dance in Istanbul, Dance in Israel, Dance forms of Africa, Dance in India, The History and Theory of Integrated Dance, Dance History: 1900 to Present

Forest Trail Academy (an online high school) also offers a Dance History Appreciation course for 6 types of dance

I have not personally taken these courses but they might be a good place to start exploring.
