Become a medical scribe! You will learn terminology and become proficient in producing overviews during real life encounters with medical professionals and clients. I believe this is the number one job to gain experience, and when I had my first opportunity to scribe there were plentiful benefits in the position. You'll simply type out conversations that happen amongst the doctors and patients, documenting injuries and illnesses into reports for all involved to see!
Apply to be a scribe
Research (terminologies in the medical field)
Be prepared to spell and spell correctly

Carleigh,
Are you a PA student, or planning to apply to PA schools? I'm a family medicine PA in an outpatient community health centre setting. One of the many great things about being a PA career is that PAs work and play important roles in all medical specialties and healthcare settings, including hospital and long-term care. The best setting for you as a PA would depend on many things, like locally available career opportunities and your professional interest.
