What should be my plan for college since I plan on being a pediatric? Are there any majors, internships, clubs I should be taking into consideration to maximize the best of my abilities?
Also how many different types of pediatrics are there?

You might want to consider pursuing a major in subjects like pre-med, human anatomy, or biology. Once you've earned your bachelor's degree, the next step would be to attend a medical school for four years. After that, you'll need to spend a few more years gaining practical experience through a residency program before you're ready to practice medicine. To gain relevant experience, you might want to think about volunteering or seeking employment in hospitals, clinics, or other medical-related fields. Becoming a pediatrician requires a significant investment of time, energy, and resources. Therefore, it's crucial to thoroughly examine and understand your goals before embarking on this career path.
Thank you for the advice, Yanna.

To prepare for a career in pediatrics, consider majoring in pre-med, biology, or a related field. Focus on maintaining a high GPA and preparing for the MCAT. Look for internships or volunteer opportunities at children's hospitals or clinics. Join clubs related to healthcare or pediatrics to enhance your knowledge and network. There are several sub-specialties in pediatrics, such as general pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, pediatric oncology, and more. Research which ones interest you the most. In Chandler, you could explore local hospitals, clinics, or healthcare organizations for potential internships or volunteer work.
