How is the journey like when going into medical school?
Hello my name is Bolu. I am a high school sophomore student. I would like to learn about this because when I go to college I plan to go to medical school but I would like to know more about what it is like doing it.

Great question.
Its a new environment. I made the decision to go into medicine a little bit later. I ended up taking classes when i was 24 instead of 18. The journey was hard I wont lie. During college you are going to need to get experiences that will help you make the decision if you want to go into medicine or not. You will need volunteering, research, leadership, good grades, and life experiences. These experiences really helped me solidify the idea that I wanted to be a physician. Seeing how poor the world is and how hard it is for people to get medical care in a first world country really opens your mind to what needs helping. Getting into medical school is a challenge, but I believe a good experience in my life overall. I am tired in third year, but I am learning so much and seeing the difference between a first year med student vs a third year is pretty incredible.
