A rapper by the name of J.Cole once said in a song: “If you let them kill your dreams it’ll haunt you.” And that stuck with me for a long time.
Sometimes your passions and dreams are destined for you, and sometimes those passions leads you to something greater.

I had a mentor who had a Psychology degree which allowed her to help people. My admiration for the work she did and appreciation for her impact on my life were enough to make me feel good about my major. Life can get crazy, be confident in your choice while flexible enough to know life sometime requires you to pivot and that can be ok.

Start with what sounds interesting to you. As you get exposed to more and more people, you'll find more and more areas that might interest you more. YouTube has so many ideas of job types. Not necessarily earning on YouTube, but seeing what other jobs people are doing or happy with doing. Ask yourself if you're happy with working with people, or animals, or building things, or selling things, or buying things, or teaching things. You may find that your choices change over time. Some people may start out with services, but end up being translators because they like learning foreign languages.
