It is excellent that you reach out for advice about this and will have something to think about towards your future goal. When it comes down to it, it will be you who knows what your major should be because you will be drawn to it naturally. In the meantime, it's good to become familiar with the various possibilities in college that would prepare you for something like information technology.
I would say that majoring in any of the following would be good for what you're interested in : Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering,
Information Science, Database Management or Web Development. It's okay that you are not sure about a major yet. In college you can take some computer courses and try to discover what to major in. Sometimes it doesn't reveal itself to you so quickly, but keep at it and something will seem like a good fit for you.
Once you know the college that you will be going to, you'll become more aware of what you see as being offered and may discover something that you didn't think of before. Joining a computer club or group now may even help you decide upon a specific major for college. Go with your heart and your instinct in choosing a major.
I do hope this helped and wish you all the best !

Thank you for your question. I am glad to hear that you are interest in IT. There are many jobs in IT, e.g. programming, application support, user support, system administration, database administration, network administration, etc. Each of these have their own specific knowledge domain.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Explore more on these careers and determine what you have interest
2. Attend the information session hosts by Information Technology department / faculty of the colleges. Speak to the professors and alumni if possible
3. Seek advice from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist the careers you would like to pursue
5. Find the entry criteria of relevant subjects in the college
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
