Is it possible to do schooling while in the navy/ military?

I plan on going to the navy and know all the requirements needed, but is it possible to continue my education whilst in the navy?

However, even if you opt not to go down that route, there are still plenty of educational opportunities available to you.

One such opportunity is the CLEP testing, which allows you to earn credits for educational courses. This is a great way to start working towards your degree while you're still enlisted. I strongly encourage you to utilize the GI Bill as well, which can provide you with additional financial support once you've completed your service.

A CLEP exam is essentially a test for a college course. If you pass the test, you earn college credits for that particular subject. This opportunity is exclusively available to active-duty personnel, military spouses, and DOD Civilian employees. So, it's definitely something you should take advantage of during your service. Not only will it help you advance your education, but it can also save you a significant amount of money in the long run.

You certainly have such admirable ambition and I would like to give you some advice. It is possible to continue your education while in the Navy. The Navy has a commissioning program called the Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program for people at least 19 years old. It is quite a generous program and you can read about it at the link I have provided below. This would be for the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corp.

If you decide to enlist you'll first need to complete basic training, followed by tech school, and in some cases, especially in the Air Force, upgrade training. Only after these steps can you attend a university. Please keep this sequence in mind if you're considering this path.

You can most definitely continue your education while in the service. There are many options available, from evening classes to on line learning to the ROTC programs. Each base will have an education office that you can approach about what option you might want to pursue. You may elect to go to college and enter into an ROTC program where you can get your degree while going through your military training and then enter into the service full time to complete your term of service.
