Sen’s Answer

If you are doing Masters in Physics, you have opportunities in the field of IT/Telecom and defence, in addition to other avenues which are available to other streams. I did my M.Sc in Physics (Electronics as special paper) way back in mid eighties. Joined a Public School as Science Master for teaching 12th std and then got selected for Indian Army in Technical Graduates stream, joined Indian Military Academy and got commissioned in SIGNALS.
Later I did my MS level in Telecom and IT and other degrees which you can see here in my profile.
It depends on which stream you have taken as special paper in your M.Sc: Theoretical Physics, Crystallography, Electronics, Quantum Mechanics, Solid States or Nuclear Physics etc. You have opportunities in all these fields in research and teaching across the globe. Some of the best known organisations in India are: BARC, Saha Institute etc.
There are students who join IIT Coaching Institutes to teach Physics to the IIT/Medical aspirants and make a decent living in Delhi, Kota, Hyderabad, Patna and other cities in India.
