Hey Caleb! I would say to first ensure the products that you are offer are desirable and that you are keeping up with the demands of your customer. Great customer service is the next thing! You can have mediocre product but I would spend my money with you if the customer service is great! Marketing is also a big thing. Advertise and promote your business. Tik Tok is the big wave right now, promote promote promote!
Hope this helps!

Determine your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). For instance, if your business thrives on the sales of a specific product, a KPI could be the quantity of that product you have in stock.
Next, figure out what factors positively (or negatively) affect these KPIs and use this information to your advantage. In the context of the inventory example, a crucial factor to identify would be the most cost-effective and efficient source for acquiring your product.
By assembling a clear picture of these elements, you start to understand where to focus your energy, and estimate the amount of effort or resources required to make a significant impact. Once you've figured this out, it's all about persistence and hard work.
Lastly, it's beneficial to concentrate on areas that yield the most significant results. If a particular strategy is proving to be exceptionally successful, don't hesitate to invest heavily in it.

Hey Caleb,
Thanks for your question.
To help your business flourish, here are some friendly pointers: First, always focus on the quality of your products and services. This not only helps keep your current customers happy but also attracts new ones. Second, try to offer a variety of products and services, so you're not relying on just one thing. Lastly, networking and socializing are key. They can help you form strategic partnerships that can take your business to new heights.
If you're running a small product business, here are some tips that might help: Consider joining seller management programs like Amazon's Strategic Account Services (SAS) if you're selling on platforms like Amazon or eBay. With SAS, you get your own account manager who can help you grow your business, attract new customers, and increase sales. You could also try advertising on social media platforms - even a small investment can go a long way. Don't forget to gather testimonials and references, they can really boost your credibility. Setting up a booth at events can also help you get noticed. And last but not least, pay attention to your business name and branding - they're crucial for making a lasting impression.
As for drop shipping on Amazon, it's certainly a low-cost option, but remember it can impact customer experience. So, always keep the long-term perspective in mind.
Wishing you all the best in your business endeavors!

This is a great question and one that may have many answers. One thing I have learned is that companies that get really good at one thing and stick to that one thing for a while tend to do better. For example, I worked for a bakery that specialized in cupcakes. After only 6 months of being open, they decided they wanted to host parties, make cakes, and ship items. This was their downfall. They were really good at cupcakes and would have grown if they got really good at that one thing first! It can be easy to have dreams of expanding- which is fine and can help later, but you should aim to be the top leader in (what your business does) for a few years before expanding.
The second lesson I have learned is to get really good at knowing who your target market is. This is key! Know them and speak to them. Target your marketing to that market and focus on them rather than trying to make something for everyone- similar as they previous example.

Hey Caleb! I personally grew my own freelance writing business. I don't have any specific advice about the shipping industry, but I can say this: you need to be passionate, and you need to be able to express your passion to others.
You'll have to do your own research on logistics, competition, predicted income, potential expenses, and so on to make sure that your business idea is viable. You may already be doing that. But in addition, you also need to have a clear "why": why are you pursuing this career path? What's important to you, and why are you committed to serving your clients?
If you're able to clearly answer those questions, it will lead to more impactful marketing materials. You'll be able to get others inspired, and bring in new hires and clients. You'll also present well in interviews and client meetings. It will form the back-bone of your business.
Good luck!

Hello Caleb!
It's truly thrilling to see your entrepreneurial spirit coming to life! Having dabbled in the world of drop shipping businesses, I can certainly offer some insights. If you choose to venture down this path, I strongly suggest conducting test orders on your own and fully immersing yourself in the customer journey. Seek out those companies that boast speedy shipping and stellar customer service. My experiences have shown a wide spectrum in service quality - some companies took as long as 4 weeks to deliver and redirected all inquiries related to tracking and shipping back to me, the "store owner", despite my lack of access to such information. Conversely, others were prompt and highly responsible. Make sure to experience this first hand before making a commitment to a company!
Sending you gratitude and positive energy for an outstanding business venture!
