There are several in the Ivy League. They are:
*Harvard
*Yale
*Princeton
*Dartmouth
*Cornell
*Brown
*Columbia
*Penn
Do not forget the western Ivy League, Stanford University. And other very high ranked ones in the Midwest, like the University of Chicago and Rice.
They all look for high academic achievers. Not just GPA, but all around students (Generalists), who can achieve in nearly any course they take. They also look for people who are dedicated to service to others. Those who want to help others overcome their problems that they are encountering in life, whether they be cultural, societal or medical. This is why so many of them win Nobel Prizes.

Each college is esteemed and regarded in its own way. Some colleges are more famous than others. IN all cases, you should choose the one which matches your financial, academic and other personal circumstances.

Hi Amalya,
Ivy League colleges and other esteemed institutions seek a diverse and highly accomplished student body. While academic excellence remains a top priority, they look beyond grades and test scores to assess a candidate's holistic profile. Strong grades in challenging courses, impressive standardized test scores, and active engagement in extracurricular activities are vital. Admissions officers value leadership, initiative, and a genuine passion for one's interests, whether in the arts, sports, or community service. Demonstrating a commitment to ethical behavior, ethical character, and resilience in the face of challenges is also important.
In addition to academic and extracurricular achievements, the ability to convey one's personality, values, and aspirations through well-crafted application essays and meaningful letters of recommendation is essential. Ivy League colleges seek students who will not only excel academically but also contribute positively to the campus community and engage with the institution's mission and values. Demonstrated interest, thoughtful interviews (if offered), and a unique perspective or background can further enhance an applicant's chances. Ultimately, each Ivy League institution has its specific criteria, so prospective students should thoroughly research each school and carefully craft their applications to align with their desired institutions' values and expectations.
