Paul’s Answer

For me, it was seeing the outcomes of my actions, and being able to give back to my community.

Keeping this in mind, let me provide you some advice. In order for one to be successful, you must have a strong financial philosophy, and stay with it. This means earning and learning to save and invest what you earn.

I used what is called a 90/10 option. Basically saving every 10 cents out of every dollar earned and investing in an IRA, bonds, stocks, mutual funds, and other diverse investments. I also de-emphasized much leisure activity and invested those resourced in other productive areas.

The other 90 cents, out of every dollar, I used to pay utilities, bills, and other important life needs. So, save 10 percent and live on 90 percent of earnings.

This formula seemed to work well for me.

Jacob’s Answer

I appreciate your curiosity about entrepreneurship and making money online. While I'm not an entrepreneur myself, I can offer some insights and advice on what drives individuals to become entrepreneurs and the various types of online platforms they use to succeed.

**What Drives People to Become Entrepreneurs:**

1. **Passion:** Many entrepreneurs are driven by a deep passion for their ideas, products, or services. They want to bring something valuable and meaningful to the world.

2. **Independence:** Entrepreneurship offers a level of independence and control over one's destiny that some find appealing. It allows individuals to make their own decisions and set their own priorities.

3. **Problem Solving:** Entrepreneurs often identify a problem or gap in the market and see an opportunity to provide a solution. Problem-solving and innovation are key motivators.

4. **Financial Freedom:** Entrepreneurship can potentially lead to financial success and freedom. Many entrepreneurs aim to create businesses that generate income and wealth.

5. **Impact:** Some entrepreneurs are driven by a desire to make a positive impact on society or a particular community. They want to create businesses that contribute to social or environmental causes.

**Different Types of Platforms for Online Success:**

1. **E-Commerce:** Starting an online store or selling products through platforms like Shopify, Amazon, or eBay is a popular way to make money online.

2. **Content Creation:** Building a presence on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, or a blog can generate income through ad revenue, sponsorships, affiliate marketing, or selling digital products.

3. **Freelancing:** Platforms like Upwork and Fiverr allow you to offer your skills as a freelancer in areas such as writing, design, programming, or digital marketing.

4. **Affiliate Marketing:** Promoting other people's products or services and earning a commission for each sale or lead generated through your referral links.

5. **Online Courses and Coaching:** If you have expertise in a particular field, you can create and sell online courses or offer coaching services through platforms like Udemy or Coach.me.

6. **App Development:** If you have programming skills, developing and monetizing mobile apps or software can be a lucrative venture.

**Getting Started:**

1. **Identify Your Passion:** Start by identifying your interests and skills. What are you passionate about? What are you good at? Your business idea should align with your strengths and interests.

2. **Research and Learn:** Invest time in learning about the business model you're interested in. Understand your target audience, competition, and industry trends.

3. **Create a Plan:** Develop a solid business plan that outlines your goals, strategies, and financial projections.

4. **Build a Brand:** Establish an online presence through a website or social media. Create a strong brand identity that reflects your values and offerings.

5. **Network:** Connect with other entrepreneurs and mentors who can provide guidance and support.

6. **Stay Persistent:** Entrepreneurship can be challenging, and success often takes time. Be persistent, adapt to changes, and learn from failures.

Remember that entrepreneurship requires dedication, hard work, and a willingness to take risks. Start small, stay committed to your goals, and continuously seek opportunities to learn and grow in the online business world. Good luck on your entrepreneurial journey!
