First, determine what type of business you'd like to manage. I recommend you find ways to start your own if you can. However, here are a few off the top of my head. I used to manage a sales business.

A bachelor's degree in business administration (BBA) or a related field is good to have though experience will definitely pay off.
Relevant work experience in business management or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and trends.

There are different types of business management, but in my experience as a business manager for one of the big software companies, I believe the following skills/requirements would be needed:

- Collaboration with across many teams within your organization and having the ability to influence
- Being able to organize and lead meetings, effectively documenting and communicating meeting notes and action items
- Having analytical and problem solving skills
- Being able to quickly adapt and prioritize, because you're often asked to work on competing projects. This is true especially when you work for a big company and support organizations with a lot of headcount
- Having the ability to grasp a lot of information in a short amount of time because you're truly moving at a fast pace and could be discussing a broad range of topics in a single day.
