Try to make connections with local schools starting with substitute teaching. Just by getting into the schools and having conversations with administrators can help them see how you work hard and may be able to direct you in the area of teaching drum line. Get involved or volunteer with the drum lines in your area and continue to hone your own skills while you are waiting for your dream job.

Start by highlighting your expertise as a drum line player. Compile a comprehensive resume outlining the groups or schools you've collaborated with. Include all the venues where you've showcased your talent, be it parades, competitions, and more. Once you have this resume, approach various establishments that feature marching bands and seek an opportunity to meet with the band director. It's crucial to demonstrate your proficiency, so consider bringing along a video or creating a YouTube channel where you can exhibit your ability to instruct specific rhythm drumming techniques. In essence, let your drum line playing skills and your teaching abilities shine. Drum lines are truly amazing!
