What are the requirements to become a nighttime security guard?

Thank you comment icon I only know a little from my friends who have went through those ranks. Security Guard depending on where it is, can be an entry level position. I would say if I was applying to be in security I would want to high light during the interview where I had taken security seriously. And responsibility for safety of others seriously. Brandon Moore

Hello Zach! Embrace the journey to becoming a security guard by simply starting with an application!

Remember, you need to be at least 18 years of age, or 21 in certain states. Holding a high school diploma or a GED is also a requirement. Rest assured, as long as you can clear a background check and a necessary drug screening, you're on the right track!

Finding most job opportunities is a breeze online. Plus, having a resume ready (if you haven't got one yet) will certainly give you an edge. A small but significant tip is to maintain a professional email address, ideally composed of your first and last name.

I hope this guidance proves beneficial for you! Here's to you having a fantastic day! 😊

Hello,

To answer your question you would need to first see if your state has any regulations and/or training that you are required to complete before being hired anywhere as a security officer. For example, in Texas we require certain trainings for certain levels of security licenses (armed and unarmed).
