I'm not sure about APPs or Software that code for you, but I don't think you have to be able to code to "make" an APP.
You might be able to get a patent and then involve a third party to write the code for you.

Yes, you should know the coding if you want to build apps. Otherwise, you also have an option to hire an app development company.
