Hello Angel! Absolutely, do explore bls.gov for comprehensive career information. Wondering about the best part of being a teacher?
Being a teacher is like having a creative playground. Teachers get to shape their classrooms and craft lesson plans tailored for their students. The students, in return, offer fresh viewpoints and stimulating challenges that spark a teacher's creativity. There's a world of opportunities to experiment and innovate to enrich the learning experience.
Curious about the teaching subject that's most sought after?
The demand for teaching subjects can vary based on the institution, but the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) are consistently in high demand. If you're a math teacher with the right qualifications, you can expect to teach a range of subjects, from algebra and calculus to trigonometry.

Angel, teaching isn't always fun, nothing worthwhile is. But it can be extremely exciting and rewarding. The best subject to teach is likely the one that you have the greatest personal interest in, although you'll try to make all subjects interesting for your students. That also depends on what age group you decide you're most interested in. If you enjoy children and want to make a real difference for the future, teaching is one of the best choices someone can make.

Being a teacher is one of the most rewarding professions, and the fun and joy it brings are immeasurable. I have had difficulties and challenges over the years, but I can honestly say it was a fun experience, and now I have a new career in helping train teachers with technology.
Let me share some of the highlights from my career as a teacher:
Working with Great Folks & Making Friends: One of the delights of being a teacher is the opportunity to work alongside brilliant and passionate colleagues. Every day, I get to collaborate with educators who are experts in their fields, share innovative teaching strategies, and exchange stories that motivate and inspire. It's a constant reminder that I am part of a community that values knowledge and growth.
The bond that forms between teachers is unique. We share the highs, the lows, the successes, and the challenges. Over time, these shared experiences turn colleagues into close friends, creating a supportive network that lasts a lifetime. I am still friends with many educators I have previously worked with, even though we are in different locations around the world.
Influencing Young Minds: There's an indescribable joy in witnessing the "aha" moment in a student – when a concept finally clicks or when they discover a passion they never knew they had. As teachers, we have the privilege to guide, mentor, and inspire students, playing a pivotal role in shaping their futures. Knowing that you've made a positive impact on a young person's life is an unparalleled reward.
The Joy of Continual Learning: Being a teacher isn't just about imparting knowledge; it's about being a lifelong learner. Every day brings new challenges and questions from students that push us to stay updated, research, and continually evolve in our understanding of the world. This constant cycle of learning and growth keeps the job fresh, exciting, and deeply fulfilling.
As for the best subject to teach, it truly varies for each individual. Every subject, from mathematics to literature, from history to science, offers its own set of joys and challenges. The best subject is often the one that aligns with a teacher's passion, as it allows them to share that enthusiasm with their students, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment. I started my teaching career as a generalist in middle school. That means I was allowed to teach pretty much any basic middle school course like math and science.
What is it you like learning about? That is what should drive your interest.
Best of luck in your academic career. You will make a difference in many lives. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Look into summer or afterschool programs within your school district that offers the opportunity to help with enrichment or afterschool activities as a volunteer working with teachers. Outside programs like scouts, YMCA or Boys/Girls Club might also offer opportunities as well.
