Is a Diagnostic Medical Sonography degree fun?What degree is better for Diagnostic Medical Sonography a Bachelors or an Associates??

I will be honest… the degree itself was insanely hard, most of it was not fun. It was a lot of work. If sonography is something you have a passion for though the degree CAN be fun because it’s learning something you are very interested in. Once I got out into the field I realized why the degree was as hard as it is. It is the only reason I was able to pass my boards.
Being a Sonographer has its upsides - it’s very cool taking pictures of things most people will never see; however, it can also be mentally draining. Imagine finding a mass or liver Mets and knowing the patient you’re scanning won’t live much longer. So know there are downsides as well….
As for the degree, unless you want to go into management or teaching; there isn’t much benefit to a bachelors. I have my bachelors in sonography and I don’t make more money nor did it make finding a job any easier :)
