Is it possible to be a medical assistant while going to nursing school?

I am in the process of getting my MA but my main goal is to become a registered nurse so I was wondering if doing both at the same time would be too much on my plate.

It is possible to be a medical assistant while going to nursing school I know a lot of people that do that. I would say it depends on if you can mentally handle that because everyone's situation is different. I would say if you can mentally handle it do it. But if you feel it's a lot to juggle and you can't manage all of that mentally then don't. I know a lot of people who are into nursing school and it's very intense and not everyone can handle how intense it is.

Most nursing schools require your full time commitment. I would have recommended LPN training vs Medical Assistant because an LPN license can be bridged to a RN license with usually just one more year of school for an Associate degree. Unfortunately you can’t do that with your medical assistant certification. Either way you will never have trouble finding a job!
