Thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. This is a question on your time management. Firstly, you need to identify a time management tool that suits you, e.g. your phone calendar, google calendar, ms outlook, etc.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Put in the time you need to attend the class everyday
2. Assign some time for your projects, assignment and revision everyday. E.g. There is a deadline for your projects and assignment. You need to assign some time to work on it daily to ensure you complete it on time rather than last minute rush.
Also, make sure you do some revision on the course material that covers on the same day. If you have any question, raise the question on the next school day.
3. Make sure you have enough time to sleep. Do some exercise if possible.
4. Allocate some time for your leisure and family & friends gathering on weekend and holidays
5. You may need to allocate more time for revision before exam & assessment
You do not need to fill out your schedule completely. You can keep some 'me' time to relax and reflection.
Hope this helpd1 Good Luck!

Hi Zhichun,
Every student has that question on top of their mind, I did too :)
We cannot study everything in school and hence some things needs to be done at home. Home works actually allow students to reinforce what they have learned in class, helping to solidify their understanding of the material. It also provides students with an opportunity to practice and develop essential skills, such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management.

Greetings Zhichun,
I am in agreement with Alok's response. As a teacher, I would add that if any assignment results in a big amount of time to complete, then you may need to look at did you really understand the concepts. If non-project homework takes over 30-45 minutes then this is an indication that help is needed or more questions need to be asked of your teacher. Equally, as you get into more advanced grades, you need to check if you have organized yourself well to complete tasks. Especially with projects, trying to do everything in one night is not wise. The homework may seem torturous, but in most cases, it has a purpose and goal of developing your skills in more than one area.

Homework is used to help students learn more about a specific subject and allows them to add to their current knowledge. Without homework, there would be a lot of students that would not have the knowledge needed to pass the class within that subject. While it can be very time consuming, keep in mind that it is needed to help progress your education and is important for future endeavors.
One other thing that it does help people with overall is the understanding of dedication and commitment. By doing the homework and the assignments, you can ultimately train yourself to get better with attempting to learning something that you do not know or that is outside your comfort zone. In the future, with any job that you may have you will need to learn new concepts, do new ideas.
