I want to join the BAU that's the only job I'm passionate about. Please help

I really want to get into the BAU and I would take the extra mile to get into it. Ever since I started watching Criminal Minds. I wanted to get a job as a profiler. The only problem is that they take US citizens only. I am an Indian and I know that they don't portray the BAU as the way it is. The tv show is an exaggeration and they most probably won't have a boy genius wearing a sweater vest or a diva giving details from the computer about the unsub. But I really don't have any intentions of being a part of a 9/5 job.
. Is there any way I could get into the behavioral analysis unit? #criminal-profiling #psychology-education #sociology #swat #behavioral-health

TLAUREN’s Answer

The BAU works in three divisions: violations against kids, wrongdoings against grown-ups, and counter-illegal intimidation and danger appraisal. To join the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit as a specialist, you should initially serve at any rate three years as an overall specialist preceding being considered for task to the BAU. Despite the fact that not needed, a serious degree in legal or conduct science, just as involvement with fierce wrongdoing cases, will expand your seriousness for a BAU task. To join the BAU as a care staff proficient, for example, an insight research master or wrongdoing investigator, you would require at least a four year college education, in addition to a prominent examination foundation, and at times, law implementation experience. The FBI requires all staff individuals to be U.S. residents too.

I started my first career, inspired by a TV show. The best way to start in the behavioral analysis business, is to become a psychiatric nurse. That is a behavioral analysis unit. Is there a way that you can work on your U.S. citizenship? Go to http://fbi.gov/ type in BAU. That may give you some insight as to what the real unit does. There is a book written by a female FBI Profiler. Her name is Candice Delong. The title is, FBI Agent (My Life on the Front Lines as a Woman in the FBI) It is everything that you need to know, if you want to be a profiler, or an FBI agent. Also the book: Winning Every Time by Lis Wiehl. That will help you establish and stay true to your goal.
