High school is definitely a change of pace and environment from middle school, at least in my experience. It is meant to be a preparatory stage for college. I am not sure if hard is the right word, rather, it is an adjustment from your previous educational experiences.
If anything, there is additional coursework and higher expectations, as well as new freedoms. To be successful, you need to develop a work ethic that fits your personality and learning needs. I recommend taking steps to remain organized and finding ways to get involved outside of schoolwork (e.g,, sports, clubs, theater). Keeping busy will help you remain focused on what you need to accomplish and start paving a way to your future!
Change can be overwhelming at first, but take advantage of the time before you begin to relax and prepare, and enter with an eager and open mindset!

This depends on various different factors such as you as a person, the high school you are planning to go to, whether or not you know people already going into the school, etc. It depends on a person to person basis so it will be hard to say.
High school does allow you to be a lot more independent on your choices generally. While in elementary to middle school you are usually more on a very strict schedule, high school is a bit more flexible, again depending on your school. They are generally more open to clubs and sports and can have a lot of ways to meet up with new people.
Generally classes may be more difficult, as you can choose (or automatically assigned to) these different classes. I would recommend to try to look up online what are the things you will typically learn in that class will be and see if you are able to do it or not.

Hello,
Reflecting on it, high school may not seem as challenging as it felt while we were there. It's a significant transition period in everyone's lives, filled with numerous changes. The academic aspect does come with its share of stress and seemingly irrelevant tasks. However, maintaining a steady pace and consistent effort can make all the difference.

The first few years will be more difficult because you have very few electives. Once you are a junior you have more time to take the classes you like. The number of electives is astonishing. Also, by the end of high school you will know if you are going to college or not. If you are not then you can earn a D in every class and still get your diploma. If you have a hard time reading I would get tutoring for free from the local library. If you can't read at grade level before you start then you may not even go to high school for 4 years.
Look at your report cards for the last few years. If you have poor grades then yes, high school is going to be hard.
Define "hard". I only answer for the academic side. For many students the social side is difficult.
Pick one teacher you like each year. Have these positive figures in your life for the next 4 years.

The level of difficulty in high school can vary for each individual based on factors such as personal strengths, interests, and the rigor of the coursework. Some students may find high school challenging due to the transition from middle school, increased academic expectations, or the variety of subjects they need to manage. Others may navigate high school with relative ease.
Success in high school often involves effective time management, study skills, and a willingness to seek help when needed. The difficulty of high school can also depend on the specific courses and extracurricular activities you choose.
If you're finding certain aspects challenging, consider talking to teachers, seeking tutoring, or exploring study strategies to help you adapt. Remember that challenges are a normal part of the learning process, and it's okay to ask for support as you navigate high school.
