If you are working to become a dancer in a professional ballet company what would be a great academic subject to focus on in college?

I am a ballet student who is working at a ballet training program and since dance is such a serious profession I would like to see what academic subject would allow me to learn more about society and life and to be a more intuitive person. #college #dance #performing-arts #college-major

If you wanted to learn more about the societal side of things, social sciences, sociology and psychology sound like they would be perfect for what you are trying to find out.

Jan’s Answer

While I'm not a dancer, my daughter is a dancer. While psychology and social sciences will help you to learn more about society, you may want to think about what your future plans are after your dance career. My daughter is considering owning her own studio so she is taking business courses as well. Communication and marketing classes may also be helpful.
