I am a radiologist. The last time I worked a night shift I would talk to 3 or fewer people throughout the 9 hour shift.
And now with COVID, we are doing some of our reading shifts from home.
Perfect for an introvert!

I think being an introvert in the Healthcare field can be extremely positive! I am also an introvert in a communications field :)
Introverts are a huge asset because they are keen on listening to people/consumers and they think before they speak. There are many professions related to research/scientific studies in the medical field as an example.

Hi Yadira,
This is a really great question. There are many super jobs for introverts in the science and technology fields.
Have you considered specialties like pathology, anatomy, or forensics. These are some medical fields where you focus more on the human body, sampling tissues, or solving crimes versus interfacing with directly with patients. You might also consider becoming an MD, PhD or PhD and focusing exclusively on research in a lab setting versus working directly with patients.
What kind of things are you good at or are you passionate about?
Make a list or keep a journal of these areas or articles.
Introverts make very important contributions to science all the time without being extroverted!!!
There are so many opportunities in the medical and STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math) and we really need people like you to go into these important areas. When you are passionate about a field, even if you are an introvert, it gives you the power and the drive to help others.
Being excited or having passion about a field or a mission, is your superpower (say that out loud to yourself a couple of times).
Challenge yourself to do some volunteering in a lab or in a medical setting where you feel comfortable.
There are also medical fields where you work with animals, wildlife, plants, and sea creatures. You might really like these too.
I am excited for you! Good luck!
