I would say pick up as many talents as you can. Voices, piano, fencing, ballet, martial arts, singing. All of these come into play when an actor is chosen for any part. Of course the acting plays a huge part but the less you need to be trained to do the quicker the shoot and production goes. =)

Well acting can be your career.
It’s just about asking yourself are you willing to put in the work and remember that we live in an instantaneous world but the journey of being an actor is a process.
Get qualified in acting or get qualified in producing & writing whilst attending acting classes. That way you can create your own work
Whilst auditioning.

It would probably be a good idea to do some volunteer work at some local theatres. It will grant you knowledge and experience, plus you can bounce from one department to the other and cover many fields. Career wise, if you wanted to be secure while also pursuing a career as an actor, I would look into psychology. The two are actually not that different in terms of understanding people. This could also lead into the new field of Drama Therapy.
