Hi Melissa,
of course you can be more than a CNA if you want to!
You could go to school to become a RN by earning an associates degree (1 to 2 years) or you can earn your bachelors (3 to 4 years).
Since you are already trained as a CNA, you would benefit grom a shortened CNA to RN program so you don't have to retake classes:

Good luck!

Your success hinges on your own determination and commitment. If you're willing to put in the hard work and dedication that nursing school demands, then you're definitely capable of becoming a successful nurse. As Karin pointed out, you have options to become an ADN or BSN. If you're considering furthering your education, I'd suggest pursuing your BSN. Don't let financial concerns hold you back; there are numerous organizations willing to partially or even fully cover your nursing education costs in exchange for a certain period of service. Don't hesitate to connect with your HR team to explore your company's tuition reimbursement opportunities. Best of luck on your journey!

If you want to be more than a CNA, you most certainly can be. If you have the determination, you could go on to get an LPN or RN. A medication assistant course is also an option as well. Many CNAs go on to become a nurse and are better nurses because of it. But, if you decide to stop with just a CNA, that’s okay too.
