Hi Deandre, I would recommend reaching out to Farm Bureau's. When I worked in Agriculture I found the best way to connect with local farmers was through the organizations the farmers trusted; Farm Bureaus and Co-ops. Talking with them helps you understand the intricacies needed to run a business as well as other resources that might be available to you (ie: funding opportunities). Depending where you live, colleges that focus on Agricultural education or states that have department of Agriculture:

I think you should try working at or volunteering at a business similar to the ones you are interested in, whether it is a farm or an agricultural supply store or an equipment maker. You can ask to do informational interviews with agricultural store owners. You can go to farmers markets and talk to people that run the stands. You can contact contact Cooperative Extension resources affiliated with your state’s land grant university to learn a lot more and to network.
