I am a very social person, do you think public relations is a good career choice for me?
Hello. I m a junior in high school and I am looking at different careers. I like to talk to people and I like to make new friends. I am a good communicator and I don't mind being in new situations. I also really like the film and fashion industry and really would want to make connections with celebrities. Is PR a good place for me? I would also encourage looking into the world of fundraising and resource development for philanthropic institutions. A communications or PR field is great for a sociable person, but the good thing about fundraising for charity is a) the jobs are generally in high demand; b) many include communications tasks; and c) it's a profession that is all about relationships.

As an more introverted person that has worked to be more social in my career, I can tell you that Public Relations is a good choice for you but there are many other fields to consider as well... Sales, Communications/Journalism, Business, Management and more. Here is a good link I found to public relation careers:
