The body sensor sends information to the app. The doctor, who is in another location, can access the information from the app to monitor the person's health. This allows the doctor to see if medications are working or if something different needs to be tried.
One more example would be sensors that have been placed in nature that provide readings on wind speed and direction or humidity or rainfall. This data is fed to a scientist at another location. This data can help predict the likelihood of a wildfire or if there is a wildfire, it can help predict the direction the fire will likely move. And that information can help firefighters to put the fire our more quickly.
