Is there a career combining videography and missionary work?
I am interested in videography, as well as spreading the Good News of Christ, and was wondering if there was a career or opportunity to do both. #missionary-work #videography #video-production

There is more connecting happening online between people serving across the world. It could be your skills could be used in helping put together seminars/materials that can be used across a network of people serving all over. Plugging in locally is good, but also knowing a few people who are "in the field" helps a lot. Don't expect a big salary, but a very rewarding opportunity in other ways. Look for a couple coordinating organizations to find out what they're doing with video and ask what they're looking for. It might just be the foot in the door you're seeking.
Do you have video production software to make a few sample videos of what you think you might do with your skills? There are a few not-too-spendy packages out there that can come in handy. Set up a YouTube or Vimeo page to hold a few examples of your work. They'll be great to share when you find somebody curious about your interest and skill.

Many churches down here either live stream or record their services for their members.
It’s a small niche but there is definitely opportunity.
You can also look into smaller production companies that share your same values and tell the stories of good people — which will open up that niche.

Many churches are becoming multimedia channels to expand the gospel and their brand. And they hire people to do that work.
