How can I get a head start on a career in political science?

I am interested in #political-science, but I am not sure how I can get started while still in high school. I have already taken all of the suggested classes and joined the clubs, but I would like to do more.

Hi Maggie,
I just joined career village so not sure if you still want an answer. I would say if your in high school join the Democratic or Republican Town Committee, volunteer for a political campaign, start a voter registration drive in the school. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Maggie! I’m sorry no one’s answered your question yet. We're working hard to get it answered by Professionals with the best insights, but in the meantime I've included a link to a relevant Q&A here on CareerVillage.org that should be super helpful for you to read through.

Several people on our city council started within the sister cities organization, so it's been a great entry point to bigger responsibilities. For science advocacy, at some point look into becoming a member of a professional organization. They are great networks that often include political advocacy as well....
