But bear in mind that the cost of living is also a factor. So, a nurse in New York may get paid more than a nurse in Oklahoma, but she is paying a lot more in rent or mortgage per month in New York than she would in Oklahoma. There may also be other significant costs that pile up on a month by month basis such as commuting costs and the time it gets to get to work, state taxes, utilities. Consider both the salary and the costs before making a decision.
