Hi Clotia! I definitely understand your situation. I started off in college as a history major with an interest in business. I decided to take a couple classes to feed that interest and ended up switching into the business school because I liked it so much. Even if you don't feel like you want to major in a business area, I think that certain introductory business courses would be beneficial to anyone! As a business major, and having taken a LOT of business courses, I would recommend taking an intro economics class, intro to finance, or a business law class if you are only looking to take one or two. Both of these classes would be beneficial even if you don't end up majoring in business. Hope this helps!

Absolutely! A business degree is helpful for so many avenues, even just your own personal finances and savings. Good for you to think ahead!
Also, just having a degree opens so many doors, it's not always as important if the field you end up in relates to your degree. The employer is seeing that you have the ability to complete something rigorous, plus core classes are more general. Having 1-3 business classes could make a difference in switching careers later in life.

Good luck!

Hi Clotia! The theater arts profession has needs for behind the scenes positions (agents, business managers, accountants, producers, etc) . Once you enter the field many other possibilities will show up on your radar screen. It would be less a back up more a great background in an arena you find fascinating giving you more career options. A minor in accounting would be very useful See you in Hollywood! :-)
