Hey Skylah, the two best resources I know of for building a business are:
Dave Ramsey's book EntreLeadership
And this workbook (https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/bc/content/ldsorg/topics/self-reliance/2017/14678_sgmb_book_eng.pdf?lang=eng)
You might also like Ken Coleman's book From Paycheck to Purpose for sparking ideas about all your working years and your passions outside of your career.

You should be more specific. What is your business? Are you selling a product or offering a service? You can use social media to publicize and word of mouth, become a seller on Amazon, Etsy, or another platform. Again, it depends on your business. You should have a solid business plan, a great mission statement, a memorable logo that makes sense, a marketing strategy and a product or service that is in demand.

First thing you always need is the idea or business plan. you don't have to have all the answers up front. Then create your brand. what do you want people to think of when they hear your business name? your name? who are you? both personally and professionally. Your brand should speak for you. Ask others what they think of when they hear your name or the company's name, and be open to all feedback. Do not be defensive nor make excuses. Accept the feedback as an opportunity to grow/improve. But start with ensuring you have the right brand. Then go from there.
