I've already taken the SAT-- do I still need to take the ACT?

I've taken the SAT twice, and my scores have already gotten me into my dream college with a scholarship. Is it still necessary or helpful for me to take an ACT?

Thank you comment icon Hi Cody! Great question. Usually, it is not required to take the ACT if you've already achieved an SAT score you're proud of and vice versa, especially if the score got you into your dream college with a scholarship (congratulations by the way!). I would still recommend contacting the college to see if it would benefit you in any way to take the ACT. If there's no benefit though, I wouldn't devote valuable time and energy to studying for it. Trust me, you're already going to have a lot on your plate and I would just focus on finishing high school strong. I hope this helps and I wish you the best! Mireia

Agreed with Mireia. Given your situation, it is not necessary for you to take the ACT.
