If I decide to double major in both Political Science and Writing, what are some future careers I could potentially have?

I am currently majoring in Writing and Journalism and am thinking about switching to Writing and Political Science. I was wondering what possible jobs I could obtain that possibly use both of my degrees. #political-science #writing

Hi Nicole! There is so much you can do with with writing and political science. You can contribute to various publications or be a political blogger. Political journalism is so big (and needed) right now. Many publications have White House Correspondents who write about the day's press briefing. You can also be a columnist for a newspaper.

I agree with the above posters, but also add that social media content is a big area for political science. Candidates often need writers to handle social media campaigns and write posts for various social media platforms and websites. They also need writers/content producers for print materials such as postcard mailings, newsletters, etc.

I would definitely say a political commentator, writing contributor for your favorite local or national political magazine (depending on your politics), and a political blog writer.
