I’m glad you’re asking this question at the right time.
Exploring your interests through internships, informational interviews, or job shadowing can give you a better sense of a career. Reflect on what activities energize you and align with your values to help gauge compatibility.
Criteria for applying to medical school typically include a strong academic record (GPA), competitive scores on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), relevant extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and personal statements highlighting your motivation for pursuing medicine. Additionally, some schools may consider research or clinical experience. It's essential to check specific requirements for each medical school you're interested in.

I'd highly encourage you to call organizations that do what you want to do in your career and just be open about what you need... "Hey... I'm at xyz point in my life and I'm considering a career in biology. Are there people in your org who would be interested in a no cost intern or who might be able to spend an hour talking about their day to day experience in their job"? It may take a few calls but there are always people willing to do it.
Another good option is to find individuals doing what you want to do via LinkedIn and to reach out to them and just ask to talk. This could even lead to a "day on the job" follow through. I've had people find me this way and I've always been willing to help.

Hi Babia,
If your major makes you feel happy, inspired and motivated, then it's a right career path for you. What refers to being admitted to medical school, it depends on the application requirements of each educational institution. So first of all, you should choose the schools you are going to apply to. Then try to meet their admission criteria and apply.
All the best.
