I will obtain my bsn during my undergraduate years and then continue my education into Medical school and would like to know the opportunities to strengthen my knowledge through experience.

My brother-in-law who is in his 3rd year of med school did EMT work. He worked for 2 different ones that were nearby, so he could focus on studying during his off time. Not sure if it was work or an internship though.

Try to find opportunities to pursue research.
Volunteer at your local hospital or low-income clinic. Ask physicians, PAs or other clinical providers if you can shadow them.
My son is pre-med and has applied for internships with biotech companies as well.
I never did any internships during college or medical school; I just focused on grades.

There are summer internships available for students interested in the medical field. Students can work in a research lab or as a tech in a medical lab at a hospital. These are beneficial to you, but the most important aspect of your application will still be GPA and MCAT.
